Three thieves break into a cottage in an upper-class but rural neighborhood. A young woman inhabits the cottage, turns the table on the home invasion and manages to kill one of the thieves. However, she is ultimately shot to death. The day after this incident, her friends have made prior plans to go up to the leader of the group’s cottage for the weekend to reconnect. One of the group is missing - the young woman from the cottage. After telling a scary local legend of a mass murderer who escaped from an insane asylum in the 80’s and is believe to still be roaming about the area, liquid courage sets in. The group decide to set out to their missing friend’s cottage to find her. Instead, they stumble upon the two remaining thieves acting as a clean-up crew trying to cover up the murder who now have a problem on their hands. But alas, during the chaos of the situation, the escaped mass murderer shows up to the party and he’s not picking any sides.
