This is the story of four aspiring young people, living during four key periods of China’s modern history: the 20’s when China starts opening its doors to the west, the 40’s during World War II, the 60’s during the Cultural Revolution, and our modern day. As they try to find their way on life’s journey, occasionally see a glimmer of light in the form of guidance and help from their seniors. But their eventual path can only be reached by their own efforts, with no shortcuts. |
