Christmas is just around the corner, and that means a lot of stress for the mother of two, Anna. Her husband Martin, a fairly successful architect, works through the holidays, while Anna naturally has to look after the two teenage children Tom and Benjy and do the Christmas shopping on the side. Anna has finally left the turmoil in the department store and, laden with presents, is fighting her way to the parking garage when a car bomb explodes and the building collapses. With a lot of luck and the help of the writer Robert Nicolai, who is buried with her, Anna survives the catastrophe with serious injuries. During her stay in a rehabilitation clinic, Anna meets the charming globetrotter Robert again. For the first time in years, Anna doesn’t have to look after the children and has all the time to herself. This leads to a romantic encounter with Robert, who is so completely different from her husband Martin. Against her will, Anna falls in love with the wealthy travel writer. Robert opens his own restaurant for Anna and puts the world at her feet. A dream becomes true. But when Martin learns that his wife wants to leave him, he gives her a choice: Either the family or Robert. |
