I’LL NEVER SMILE AGAIN is the story of the failing relationship between Dave and his girlfriend Sophia. Dave lives his life as if it were a musical, complete with singing and dancing. Sophia, fed up Dave’s fantastical and delusional means of existing, leaves Dave which incites his suicide. Amy, Dave’s obsessive neighbor who also lives in her own delusional world, tries to bring Dave back to life, literally, with music. Amy plugs a record player and speakers into Dave’s corpse and dances with him, fulfilling her romantic fantasy. |
