When a charming fare named Penny climbs into his taxi cab, Harris, her world-weary driver, finds himself engaged in the only kind of courtship he can have with a passenger — one that lasts as long as her trip. This is a once in a lifetime time movie. It is not like anything you have ever seen before. Lost in love with no way back.
I like it to
A really enjoyable little movie, just a one time watch but well worth the effort. The two leads have good chemistry, it draws you in to the story, and is nicely unpredictable with a couple of satisfying twists and turns.
“Hopefully I won’t be bored to death” -was my thought when I first started watching the movie. (Btw, I have only one rule: if movie doesn’t catch my attention in first 15 minutes, it’s dumped. I try to keep it short..) Both actors did their jobs well.
It seems to start like Groundhog Day with the same cab ‘ride’ repeating and repeating, but it spirals off fairly quickly to something that you’d never guess. The ending was a little off the charts, as there were other directions it could have gone, but it didn’t go Hollywood. That’s a good thing. Whereas Groundhog Day you can watch over and over for the comedic bits, this had almost none so for me it’s a one time watch - but certainly not wasted!
All of the holes in the story do get explained however, and it will leave you satisfied as well as entertained (which is what a movie should do) I rate this one 3.5/5 or 7/10
Brianna Kelly says in a interview that the film is inspired by the Twilight Zone, Star Trek and The X-Files her fav genre is Si-Fi . Parts are in B&W just like the TZ was.
Writin by Brinna Kelly who plays Penny in this, a mystery for sure and the clues are there, everything that is happening means something, so keep an open mind. 3.5/5
