‘A Moving Picture Book of Artists’ is an anthology of video shorts. It consists of five chapters, each showing the work of a single artist in a manner that best highlights the nature and medium of the artists’ work. The chapters include two pieces wherein we ‘watch’ the artist at work, one music video whose song amplifies the subject matter of the images, a fantasy story involving sculptured dolls, told by an actress, and a detailed look at a highly complex painting which uses music and sound effects to illuminate the work. The featured artists are Timo Beckwith, Lori Wolf Grillias, Ginny Bayly, Mark Bryan, and Dan Eister. |
