Emily, in fear for her life, calls 911 and gets transported to Hubbard House, the local shelter. She is confused, afraid for her children, and blames herself for provoking her husband by burning dinner. We follow her as she engages with Hubbard House’s services - victim advocacy, injunction court support, groups, child care, and her fellow survivors. It’s difficult, but she learns and succeeds, as do her children. |
