Kanji Washida worked as a judge in Tokyo over two decades ago. He had to deal with a former girlfriend in a drug possession case, which lead to an affair. The girlfriend again disappears, but as a rebuke to himself Kanji moves to Hokkaido alone and becomes a lawyer. He now has Atsuko’s case on his desk, but the woman reminds him of his old squeeze. |
