George Christie, a former leader in the Hells Angels, takes a ride across America in a homage To Easy Rider, talking to like-minded people about what freedom means along the way. Then George is arrested for the 75th time by the FBI. Our film about the great wide open becomes one about his fight for freedom . His refusal to turn informant against the Hells Angels leads to additional charges carrying mandatory life sentences. The film looks back on his life in the Hells Angels and follows his fight for justice from the confines of house arrest at his Ventura, California, home.
