Documenting 12 weeks of dance classes, featuring 20 dancers in all, this documentary dance short features teacher Heather Lipson Bell and her students as they learn the discipline of dance. Heather treats each of her students as if they were just like any other professional dancer, no matter what their challenges may be. Limitations and disabilities include Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, adhd, autism, anxiety - she even opens the class to those with low incomes and welcomes the parents of her students to join them. Everyone is welcome to dance - and if you take a moment to watch, you’ll see why. |
