Bitter Strippers follows a twenty-something feminist, Cassidy, who finds herself broke and in the midst of an identity crisis when she is passed over for the position of youngest Professor of Women’s Studies at Dunham University. While searching for a drink to drown her sorrows, Cassidy stumbles into a strip club called Daddy Issues, where she runs into Helen (“Spanky”), an old friend from high school. Spanky convinces Cassidy to enters the club’s amateur stripping competition for the chance to win four hundred dollars and free drinks on the house. Cassidy fails miserably, but her new stripper pals persuade her to come back and try again, this time armed with a fresh perspective and a new strategy to wow the crowd. |
