An intense short film about a young woman’s struggle to be heard, knowing salvation may lie just one phone call away. After an argument with her father, she is desperate for someone to talk to. With everyone either too busy or simply unprepared to listen, Alex finds herself playing roulette with her emotions. She does not want to simply take her life; she is leaving it up to fate and the shoulders of each person she calls. After every phone call, she is consistently let down. Each call becomes a metaphor within the game of roulette. With every failed attempt, not only is her risk of death increasing but also the lack of faith that her family and friends are going to save her. |
