A documentary about the filmmakers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. The documentary was broadcast on the opening night of the UK Arena arts channel (now sadly no more) followed by screenings of three of their films, Stairway to Heaven (1946), Black Narcissus (1947) and The Red Shoes (1948). The documentary includes interviews with people who worked with Powell and Pressburger and some of their admirers. |
