Details:

Dei pays homage to a selection of classic urban movies (Charles Stone III’s Paid in Full, Hype Williams’ Belly, and Mario Van Peebles New Jack City) as we join Clarence (played by Kevin L. Walker) and Aaron (Winn Simmons) on a journey home from a game of basketball at the neighborhood park. Clarence believes in the almighty dollar. The problem is that he thinks all you have to do is look like you have money. He has a few nice things, but he’s in his late-twenties, still living at home in the room he grew up in with his younger brother, and doesn’t own a thing. Aaron (Clarence’s younger brother), on the other has listened to the life lessons their father has taught and does his best to convince Clarence it’s the right way. Their father teaches about ownership and wealth, but Clarence is impatient and can’t understand the process behind it. Aaron just graduated from high school; he’s entering university in the fall, and wants his big brother to come check out the college life.
