Details:

Mount Elgon National Park is the largest volcanic Caldera on earth and is managed by a team of dedicated staff from the Uganda Wildlife Authority(UWA). The impacts of climate change and population pressure leads to encroachment by communities neighboring the park in a daily struggle for resources. Illegal logging, poaching, landslides and floods provide challenges for the UWA but after twenty years of education and cooperation the local community is gradually coming to realise the importance of the park to their livelihoods and those of future generations. This film portrays an inspiring story about a group of passionate UWA staff and a community working together to protect a spectacular park so that they can continue to use the park’s resources sustainably well into the future
