‘Leaving’ is a personal essay film which explores the dual concepts of nostalgia and memory. The film revolves around a recent college graduate who returns home to find himself caught in a purgatory between childhood and adulthood, past and future, coming and going.The protagonist’s search for identity amongst his fractured hometown is juxtaposed with the filmmaker’s personal struggle for fulfillment, awareness, and relevance. |
