Rin is trying to help his friend Peach deal with the religious and spiritual implications of Peach’s impending death from an incurable heart disease. The dramatic and emotional progression of the film is complemented by an allegory that draws a parallel between religion and Harry Harlow’s famous psychological experiments with rhesus monkeys. |
