Inspired by Jonas Mekas’ 1966 film Notes on the Circus, Notes on the Fair (2008) borrows some Mekas’ shooting techniques (in camera double exposure, triple exposure time lapse and time exposure) to playfully bring to life the rhythmic texture of America’s oldest, continuously-running county fair in Skowhegan Maine. |
