Hard Candy the short film is based on the notion that men and woman can not be just friends. This a romantic comedy/drama, that will depict the lives of several 20 somethings, their lives intertwine and their relationships and friendships becoming intermingled. Confusion and frustration sets in as Emily, the lead will have to rise to the challenge of a bet given to her by best friend, of trying to prove that yes ‘men and women can in fact just be friends!’ The question is, will love allow her to fail at this task that she has become so determined to prove false?
