Details:

Pearl is a novelist. Geraldine, loved by Claude, is her stenographer. Pearl’s father becomes infatuated with Geraldine and finding this out Pearl discharges her. Pearl advertises for a male secretary. Claude answers. Pearl persuades him to shave his Van Dyke beard off and later becomes quite attached to him. Claude writes her poetry and her love grows. They take a walk in the park. Meanwhile Geraldine has met the father and they go for a walk. Geraldine observes Pearl making love to Claude and she determines to teach her a lesson. Father is made the victim. Pearl resents the attentions to the father and a fight ensues. Pearl relents and discharges Claude. She resolves to do her own typing in the future to avoid friction.
