Details:

A series of insignificant decisions, taken by a a variety of different individuals, leads to something as terrible as the death of a child. It is the first day of spring and a hardworking management consultant decides to take a day off and travel with his girlfriend to the ocean. But, like many women, she takes her time, and the impatient man has to wait outside in the car. Far away, in a less respectable Swedish neighborhood, the single mother Ingela is sitting in her kitchen waiting for her favorite show to start. The small house has only one television so she is forced to send her 9-year-old son Rikard out to play. It is as understandable that a single mother needs a break from her everyday duties as it is that a busy management consultant would like to proceed quickly, so he steps too hard on the accelerator. What is, however, less understandable is the consequence of these random actions meaning that this beautiful day of spring is also Rikard’s last. Based on the short story Att döda ett barn written by the Swedish author Stig Dagerman, Brådska is a tragicomic short film about all the small decisions we are forced to make, and the absurdity which lies in their unpredictable consequences.
