Based on a true story, The Side Door is a short film about one woman’s struggle to overcome a strange and life-threatening illness. Set in conservative South Carolina, she finds help in a controversial medicine that her high-powered lawyer husbands rejects for fear of his peers finding out. Ultimately, the medicine sets her free from more than her symptoms. |
