Hello we are Jim and Bettie of Suburbanoid Fatties. This is our short film. Filmed in Santa Barbara, Paradise road, Sage hill campground after the White Fire. Isis meets Robot is a short film based on the late Santa Barbara artist, Liam O’ Gallagher’s short story ‘ The Forth World’. The story concerns three characters navigating the 21st century, focusing on the dangers of Internet addiction and the shamanic role of artists in providing balance and healing. Our Short film is based on the scene where Isis meets the Robot and feeds him rose petals to cure the human race. Our short film was presented at the Beatrice Wood center for the Arts on Aug. 10 2013. We also performed a live musical soundtrack for the opening.
