A Permanent Present is a short documentary shot with a fish-eye lens about a rare type of persistent deja vu called ‘deja vecu’ meaning Already Lived. This film uses the landscape as a metaphor for the mundanity of life and the homogeneity of place in the suburbs. In this film, I speak with a person who suffers from the condition and with neuropsychologist Chris Moulin at the University of Leeds who has a Memory Lab dedicated to researching it. |
