A Rural Disturbance is an homage to the Giallo films of the 60’s and 70’s. It’s exploitative nature is an aesthetic touch geared toward a very specific niche of film history. There is also a touch of the 80’s slasher genre throughout the film, but by all accounts the Giallo is the European forefather of the American Slasher. |
