The son of the farmer Gallet marries Jeanne Levaillant and go to Paris. Gallet curse them for leaving. In Paris, the young couple has a child and soon begins to struggle. The child is weak so the parents decide to send him to his grand-parents. But when Jeanne tries to see her son again, the farmer refuses. She tries to commit suicide. Gallet takes her back at the condition that his son becomes a farmer. |
