Tracey Jackson cannot understand why today’s youth is so unhappy despite the fact their parents have given them more than any generation in history. Is that the cause, they have too much? Have we said yes when we should have been saying no? So, she turns the camera on her own family, a host of experts and travels the world with her reluctant teenager to find the answer. The film covers almost two years, a sojourn into the world of anorexia, pot smoking and general teenage ‘entitle-itis’, and ultimately Jackson is led back to her own dysfunctional childhood and has to make peace with that before she can move forward with her own family. |
