Before social media platforms like Facebook, there was ham radio. A network of radio operators would meet in the airwaves and with analogue machines they would connect bridging long distances and languages. In a basement packed with 2-way radio equipment, Andre Sipos sits in front of what looks like a WWII communications post and after turning knobs and switches, a blast of interference, static and a distance voice in a foreign language emanate from the speakers. This is a film about a scientist and the time machine he built in an effort to keep in touch with a distant past.
