Tiny Town is a ‘city symphony’ parody; a 3D video art work that de-monumentalizes civic monuments and other urban features. The 3D process and other visual effects creates a miniature world out of reality. Basically a fun thing with a goofy musical track. ‘Tiny Town’ inverts a traditional artistic practice of taking small things and making them big so as to imbue them with an enhanced presence and regard. Shot as a series of static mise-en-scene tableaux (as in the 1986 ‘Missouri Fish’) to evoke the ordinary. |
