Cody, a fourteen-year-old Southern kid, is pressured by his rough, carefree friends to kill a little bird. He crushes it, but instead of walking away from it, he secretly puts it in his pocket and takes it with him. His choice is unusual - does he actually care about such an insignificant creature? What will he do with a rotting animal in his pocket? And what will happen if his friends find out? This film explores what happens when the people around us stifle our compassion. Do we give in to them or do we stand up for our humanity? |
