From a helicopter, we see Rome through the Barbieri’s lens. Over and over again, the dominant color is green and the dominant line is a gentle curve. We pass familiar sights, such as the Coliseum, and fly over streets lined with apartment buildings. In addition to the sound of the helicopter’s motor, the soundtrack is a piano and a vibraphone, playing single notes. The final image is of old cars piled in groups. |
