The Promise is a USC MFA five minutes short which inspired by a real story happened in UK. Two boyhood friends who went off to war together. When one is killed in battle, the other upholds their pact: if one of them should die, the other must wear a girl’s dress to his funeral. George, the one who survived from the battle field, wears a bright yellow dress to his best friend’s funeral, as he promised. The last gift he gives to his brother, and also the last gift his brother left him. |
