Have you ever wanted something so bad in life that you would risk anything to make it happen? Well director & cinematographer Mike Alwan has always had a dream of being a filmmaker, and he wasn’t going to give up on that dream. In fact he risked everything and then some to make Dreamer’s Reality. The title ‘Dreamer’s Reality’ came from 8 year old Alwan. The story behind the film has changed multiple times over the years however always had the same purpose and end result. The purpose is to make a film that has a positive impact on people, and end result of inspiring people. So what is Dreamer’s Reality? Dreamer’s Reality is a documentary film that focuses on two important issues 1. Tattoo Acceptance and 2. What people will risk to live their dreams. You may be wondering how dreams and tattoos can be incorporated into the same film, because Alwan himself, thought the same thing until he realized something… people with and without tattoos share the common interest of dreams. The idea of a film on tattoo acceptance was introduced to Dreamer’s Reality after years of Alwan working in retail environments where his tattoos had to be covered. The film shows many aspects of tattoos from stereotypes to breaking them, to people who support them & those who don’t. As for the dreams, you just have to watch and see what Dreamer’s Reality has in store for that.
