Details:

Lambertville, NJ is a sleepy river town located on the Delaware, across from New Hope, PA. For 11 months out of each year, the town is a haven for artists, musicians, antique dealers and its quiet residents. But come October, the hamlet transforms itself into what can only be described as a Mardi Gras-like celebration of the holiday Halloween. All month long the residents prepare for Halloween weekend, which includes parades for pets, parades for humans, pumpkin-carving contests, transformations of homes, stores and restaurants into haunted houses, costume parties, and the unique experience of trick-or-treating along North Union Avenue on Halloween itself, where some home-owners spend upwards of $500.00 each on candy alone. 3000 or more people come out each October 31st. Residents and filmmakers Gary P. Cohen, Paul Kaye and Jann Kniskern set out to try and find out why Lambertville so embraces the holiday, through interviews prior to Halloween night and experiencing the event first hand. Funny and oddly affectionate, Halloweenville is a unique expose of a unique town.
