A stereotypical Jew Isadore Solomon (Dore Davidson), along with his daughter, Essie (Virginia Brown Faire), arive in a small, predominantly Christian New England town. The discriminating viewpoints of the popluace, including the mayor, drive them to try to get rid of them. Soloman is persuaded by Clem (William V. Mong) to invest in an electric light plant. The town is brought prosparity and the Solomons’ former adversaries honor him. |
