The directorial debut of Washington DC-area filmmaker Russell Max Simon, My Love Is Real is an intimate drama about whether we can trust our feelings when life is crashing down around us. Richard is a soon to be husband and father, but his relationship with his fiance is crumbling, and he has fallen in love with someone else, a wife and mother named Amanda. The two engage in a rapturous love affair which calls into question everything that seems real, while exposing a psychological dilemma indicative of today’s not-so-atomic families. |
