The human scarecrow is a rare profession found in the rice fields of the Mexican state of Morelos. These men work from sun up until sun down, since most birds, with the exception of the temperico, only eat during the day. “El Sapo” is the romantic hero of this documentary: a scarecrow, a hermit and a poet of life with his own personal mythology. |
