‘Jaso’ is a movie about a young girl who swallowed lye, after mistaking it for water, while living in Liberia when she was a toddler. The lye is caustic and burned her esophagus. She was adopted by a family in the US and now undergoes regular surgical procedures which allow her to swallow food and to live a healthy life. |
