While on a girls-only road trip, restless teen Emma begs her straight-laced Mormon mother to let loose a little. Being in the middle of nowhere-Arizona and desperate to connect with her growing-up-fast kid, Sherry hesitantly agrees. After an innocent initial excursion of junk food and soda with caffeine, buying wild accessories and immodest swimsuits, the girls find themselves feeling close to each other and newly confident in themselves - enjoying and indulging in a new-found freedom. However, add two college-age guys and some spiked punch to the mix and Emma’s suddenly in over her head - realizing she was ready to test the limits of her own doubts and rebellion, but was not necessarily prepared to see her mother do the same thing. |
