How can boomers sustain themselves while giving care to aging parents, in their own homes or in assisted living residences? Shot over two and one-half years, this short doc explores answers by following Brenda, an adult daughter, and her mother, Carolyn, as they face the challenges of finding loving ways to meet Carolyn’s needs—she is Medicare nursing-home eligible—with ‘grace and dignity.’ Even with her self-described Type A personality and devotion to her mother, Brenda herself needs to be rescued, and Carolyn knows it. Brenda’s caregiving over more than two decades has extolled its price. |
