After returning to Brazil to reconnect with his family and cultural heritage, young Brazilian-American filmmaker Alex Moratto found himself wondering, “What has become of this country?” To deal with this question, he filmed QUAL É O MEU BRASIL? (WHAT IS MY BRAZIL?), a short documentary that paints a poetic portrait of the current state of Brazil in the context of the political and social unrest. Without the use of interviews or information, this tonal film captures the feeling of a unique time and place. |
