One cannot exactly claim that the siblings Karla, Henriette and Max are particularly close - since the smoldering family conflicts escalated on Christmas of all times, Karla and Henriette in particular have not spoken to each other anymore. But now Greta, the mother of the trio, wants to put an end to the childish things. To this end, the likable and resolute lady takes an unusual measure: she invites her offspring and their attachments to a holiday home in Ibiza, where she gives the completely perplexed arguers a choice - either they use the holiday together to get one for themselves all times to be tolerated, or they will be disinherited by their father, the restaurant owner Herbert! The three grudgingly accept the ultimatum. Karlaβs 14-year-old daughter Lucy and Henrietteβs husband Torsten, on the other hand, are looking forward to a relaxing holiday. But that wonβt work for the time being, because it doesnβt take long for old conflicts to break out between the siblings. While the single parent Karla and the successful divorce lawyer Henriette make life difficult for each other with mutual taunts, the sensitive young chef Max tries to win the recognition of his self-confident father or, better said, to cook it - but without success. At least the lonely Karla finds a charming admirer in the Spanish veterinarian Pedro, which of course brings her new ridicule from her sister. However, Henriette does not yet suspect that her own husband secretly meets with his lover Anja on jogging tours on the beach. The family turmoil and mutual injuries threaten to escalate further. Only when suddenly Lucy, who can no longer endure the eternal quarrels, disappears without a trace, the stubborn siblings seem to come to their senses. |
