Heron Mendez started boxing when he was five. After a successful stint as a professional he dedicated himself to keeping kids off the streets so he started a boxing gym in Springfield, Oregon. Now in his sixties, he continues to train youngsters, but when the Mendez boxing team endures an unimaginable tragedy the future of the gym becomes cloudy. Heron and his young boxers have two choices: crumble under the weight of this tragedy or come together. |
