The film tells the story about a local organization, Masimanyane, in the Eastern Cape province in South Africa. Masimanyane creates hope in a society with the highest rates of violence against women in the world. In the film we get to know three women and a young girl. They have all experienced violence and abuse, but they have found their own inner powers. Breaking the silence shows the transformation of their lives from victims to human beings with strength and integrity. |
