I agree! I had read Walter Mosley’s book before seeing this movie. I wondered who was going to portray the Mouse character as he is quite complicated. Don Cheadle nailed it and I was in love with his acting and put him on my “one to watch” list. Within a year, he was no longer a TV personality and became a movie star!

Mosely’s Easy Rawlins series are fantastic fun and very gritty. Each novel moves up the years so you get a real cool sense of the dark side of Los Angeles through the decades. I recommend them and this movie!

I often wonder why more of the book series hasn’t been put to film.
