= Low Quality | = Medium Quality | = High Quality | How do I watch these? |
I first watched this in a theater in Wellington when it was released and sobbed throughout. It’s harrowing but brilliant. The film and its actors won dozens of awards around the globe and it’s still one of the best films to come out of Aotearoa. Holds it’s own 20+ years later! A cult classic. 10/10
The memory of this movie still breaks my heart. So intense.
Heck ya Been One of my favorite movies ever for a long ass time, got big after BookaBoba but that’s fine this is so underrated I’m glad it’s getting attention now!
The daughters story line is heart breaking.
hardcore . one of those u do need to see 5/5
Excellent acting but difficult to watch with how tragic and heartbreaking the story is. 4/5
I don’t know how I missed this one; it had an intense story with great acting. The Maori theme of gaining strength from one’s acestral warriors was well done.
there is a sequel called “what becomes of the broken hearted “ its def on youtube might be here on PW too by now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99trD_vTqmQ
