A young boy and his troubled mother return to the small foothill town of Shady Creek where the boy meets his father for the first time after his father is released from prison and discovers the unfolding truth behind what really happened in the days just before he was born. Complicating matters is the subsequent murder of a young girl — the daughter of the only witness to testify against his father ten years before — and the young boy’s realization only he holds the keys to his father’s absolution. |
