When Michi, a single mother of two young children, is told that she must have yet another operation for cancer, she embarks on a humorous and revealing personal journey. Although she is surrounded by a loving family, she must once again embark on this journey alone. Her courageous and honest struggles with her own mortality, her children’s homework and the stresses and strains of motherhood are both entertaining and heartbreaking. Choosing to regard her operation as a restorative experience and an opportunity to reflect on the role that cancer plays in her life, Michi picks up a camera and records the process.
