Geneva Miller is lonely depressed women living in a marriage that has been failing for some years, however after asking her controlling husband Jerry Miller for her to take a weekend break he plots to have her murdered fearing the prospects of divorce. The murder plot involves Geneva witnessing a shooting on the beach by the beach house she was residing at it, only for the murder to be staged in order for her murder to go down as an assassination in order for police to not suspect Jerry. After surviving one assassination attempt Geneva is taken into witness protection only for her to find romance with Jake, a police detective assigned to protect her after the first bodyguard was murdered. The police are however infiltrated by the hitman hired to try and assassinate Geneva a 2nd time at her hideout, however Jake saves her but is injured in the arm from a gun shot. The film ends with Jake tracking down the hit man’s hide out where there is a stand off between him and the alleged victim shot on the beach of which is run over by Geneva to save Jake after stabbing him in his wounded arm. The final scene reveals Geneva’s husband plotting to kill his wife after calling the hit man’s phone to confirm if it’s all over of which Jake replies yes Miller it’s over, it’s all over. |
