So this film has been around for 12 years and I only now just watched it. I had seen it ‘pop up’ before on this site and others and for whatever reason just never pulled the trigger on it. I have to say that I am very glad that I did. Solid cast with loads of great songs and just a really fun film to take in. Give it a go if you haven’t yet.
Remember watching this a long time ago, was really good!
I have watched it 6 times. Happy U got turned on to it..
Great little indie film that more people need to see. I had forgotten about it till I saw a featured comment from HarryDurden here. I saw this a few years after it came out from a recommendation of a friend. The ensemble cast is amazing & the film gives you a look at a part of UK radio broadcasting history that I didn’t know about. It’s dramatic, comedic, thoughtful & suspenseful. Just a well made film that everyone will enjoy.
An extremely enjoyable watch with a fabulous sound track. Has great re-watch potential.
A brilliant film superficially about prudish censorship of radio during the classic rock period. A fantastic ensemble cast of comedians and dramatic actors. Ralph Brown (of Withnail and I fame) and Chris O’Dowd deliver surprisingly touching performances with their separate character arcs. Then there is the soundtrack. It can’t be beat!
It’s a shame that the UK version isn’t available here.
if you haven’t watched this yet it will give you an idea about stupid governments and there controlling nature, cos this isnt just a movie this actually all happened in real life
